This was intended to be a color/texture study for larger pieces, but I became interested in the act of taking store-bought bread and casting them in brass. I liked the act of transforming convenience foods into fancy objects. 

They are solid brass with a variety of plating and PVD finishes and colors.

These were created in Arts/Industry, a residency program of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. Arts/Industry takes place at Kohler Co.
