Free Thought Bubble
2006
interactive vending machine
54 x 21 x 19 inches
from Vend-to-Own: consumer art series
Free Thought Bubble features a hand-blown glass top that looks like a cloud, a cartoon thought bubble, or a brain. Inside, each capsule contains a scrap of paper on which I scrawled random thoughts — anything from my personal laundry tips, to a description of my mood at the time.
This is the only vending machine that I have made that does not require any money to use. A simple turn of the knob gives the viewer my two cents… for free.
